The Fort Adams' Camp of Instruction
May 1-2, 2010

Often organized during times of crisis, a "Camp of Instruction" is set up to improve the standards of the regular units of the United States Army.

The Camp of Instruction at Fort Adams is being hosted by the New England Brigade many of whom will be portraying the 15th Infantry Regiment of the

Regular Army which had been stationed at Fort Adams during the Civil War.

Join us as they recreate a Civil War Encampment on our Historic Parade Field.  This is an opportunity for the general public to see how reenactors learn to

reenact!  Activities include presentations and lectures on military life, garrison duties, tactics and much more.

While the Camp does not include a battle, there will be infantry and artillery drills, live fire exercises, cooking and medical demonstrations.
